Dewayne Baker, 79, of Jesup, died Saturday, July 15, 2023. The Tattnall Co., GA native had lived in Wayne Co., GA, most of his life and was a 1963 graduate of Wayne County High School. He was a Baptist, a Rayonier retiree, and loved carpentry and fishing of all kinds. He is predeceased by his parents, Tillman and Ruby Thompson Baker, and step-sons, Jay and Jeremy Brinson.

Survivors are his wife of 31 years, Marie Bragg Brinson Baker of Jesup, a daughter, Marissa (Adam) Smith of Augusta, a son, Anthony Baker of Jesup, step-son, Jason (Acela) Brinson of Jesup, grandchildren, Addison and Ruby Smith, Bryant and Jace Baker, step-grandchildren, Mallory Phillips, J. T. Brinson, Shelby, Lottie, and Jacob Brinson, a step-great-grandchild, Cannon Phillips, and several cousins.

Memorial services will be 11 AM, Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Dennie Waters officiating.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
