Dewanna Hardie, 87, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023.  The Pierce County native was a member of Spring Grove Freewill Baptist Church. She loved to do yard work, fish and being little grandma to her grandchildren. Her husband, Calvin Coolidge Hardie preceded her in death along with her daughter, Wanda Faye Blanton; a brother, Alvernon Smith and sister, Beulah Combs.

Survivors are two daughters, Gerene Dixon of Bowling Green, Ky. and Charlotte Cason of Screven; sister, Darlene Carter of Jesup; brother, Franklin Smith of Gardi; 6 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Randy Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her family.

Visitation will be an hour prior to services at the funeral home.
