Dennis Walter "Dub" Herrin, 78, of Jesup, Ga. died Sunday, May 8, 2022. The Appling County native had lived in Wayne County most of his life and was a former employee of Paul Krebs Construction Company and enjoyed hunting, fishing, growing vegetables and working in his yard. He was predeceased by a brother, Leroy Herrin.

Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Mammie "Joey" Chancey Herrin of Jesup; 3 sons, Stephen, Richard and Robert Herrin all of Jesup; two sisters, Eula Lee Barwick of Jesup and Kathryn (Mickey) Denison of Odum; 2 brothers, David (Mary Ellen) Herrin of Odum and Lamorris (Leola) Herrin of Jesup; 4 grandchildren, Josh, Brett, and Joseph Herrin and Kaysi Baucom; great grandchildren, Haylen Baucom,  Heath, Kathryn and Privet Herrin.

Graveside funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from   New Hope Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Lord officiating. Active pallbearers will be family.

The family will receive friends from 2:30-3:00 p.m. at the cemetery.
