Deana B. Padgett, 72, of Jesup, Ga. passed away Wednesday, October 9. 2024. The Wayne County native was a member of Old Bethel Baptist church and was a retired associate with Walmart, Food Lion, Kroger, Harveys, M & M and also worked for Mahattan Shirt Factor, Ashley Manufacturing and the Bon-Aire. She loved to travel to Pigeon Forge and loved the Smokey Mountains. She was predeceased by her husband, J.D. Padgett; her parents, William Colvin and Ruby Mae Yarbrough Beverly; a sister, Velma Edge; and a brother, Billy Beverly.

Survivors as two sons, Chris (Candice) Needham of Jesup and Kevin (Lisa) Needham of Jesup; sister, Shirley (Mikey) Moore of Brunswick; brother, Warren (Frances) Beverly of Odum; 5 grandchildren, Steven, Ashlyn, Tiffany, Cheyann, and Jackson; 2 great-grandchildren, Addison and Kasen; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 11, 2024 at the Old Bethel Cemetery with Rev. Mark Ledbetter officiating.

Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to services at the cemetery.
