Obituary

With love in our hearts, we announce the passing of David (Bo) Brandon Knopf, age 19, of Jesup, Georgia.  He passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, after a tragic motorcycle accident on Easter Sunday.  David was loved by those who knew him for his sense of humor, his hard work ethic, and his willingness to serve.

Bo was born September 08, 2004 in Hinesville, Georgia to Jody Lynn Knopf and David James Knopf. He attended Wayne County High School and was active in JROTC, cross country and soccer.  He was a volunteer firefighter for the Wayne County Fire Department. He loved country music and one of his favorite songs was "Chattahoochee" by Alan Jackson.  His hobbies included riding motorcycles, scuba diving, flying airplanes, fishing, hanging out at the beach, and most of all …. spending quality time with his family.

He graduated in 2023 and subsequently enlisted in the United States Navy.  He departed on June 14, 2023 to Great Lakes Naval Station in Glenview, Illinois for basic training.  After graduation and A-school, he was assigned to his duty station in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

He is survived by his parents, David and Jody Knopf of Jesup, Georgia; his sisters, Alexis and Paige (twin) Knopf; his paternal great grandmother, Miyoko Clubb; both maternal and paternal grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his loving great grandmother, Gigi.
