Connie Pendergrass, 61, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. The Colorado native had lived in various states and cities including Florida, Texas, Brunswick, Blythe Island, Jesup and Waynesville. She was very creative and used those talents to help teach her children through her murals. Her husband, Lonnie Pendergrass preceded her in death along with her daughter, Melissa Mae Tavares and father, Harlan Hamilton.

Survivors are two daughters, Jenifer (Adolfo Gais) Tavares of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and Brittany (Geraldo) Tarin of Orlando, Fla.; son, Rick Tavares of Ft. Lauderdale; 3 grandchildren, Emma Gais, Juliana and Alonzo Tarin; her mother, Wilma Hamilton of Arkansas; sister, Tracy Pride of Missouri; 3 brothers, Kenny, Michael and William Hamilton.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Stanley Todd officiating. Burial will follow in the Georgia Veteran's Cemetery in Glennville.

Visitation will be an hour prior to services at the funeral home.
