Coaline Herndon Tippins of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Baxley, Ga. died Friday, April 15, 2022.  The Baxley native was reared in Appling County and had lived in Spain, Bermuda, Azores, Kansas, New York, Arlington, Virginia, Las Vegas, Columbia, SC, but she was always a "Baxley girl".  She retired from the civil service after 18 years at the age of 76.  Her parents, Adna and H.C. Herndon preceded her in death along with her sisters, Sarah (Osborne)White, Gladys (Earl) Knight, Bonnie (Lambert) Pickren, Montene (J.P.) Morris and Marilyn (Bob) Vance.

Survivors are her daughter, Teresa Coaline Tippins, Commander, United States Navy (Retired) and partner, Patti Lotridge and her daughter,  Laura(Shane) Stager and their children, Skylar and Liam; nieces, Kathy Morris Deen, Amogene White Mathews, Susan Pickren Reed and Earlene Knight Stephens.

Graveside funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, April 20, 2022 in Omega Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her great nephews, Alan Atkins, Bryan Mathews, Ronnie Henry, Michael Morris, J.P. Morris, Alan Michael Atkins and Jacob Atkins. Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews, Mickey Morris, Ed Deen and Bill Mathews.

The family will receive friends at the service in the cemetery.
