Clyde Fabre, 76, of Midway, Ga. passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026. The S.C. native and former resident had lived in Wayne County for 18 years and then for the past 25 years, resided in Midway. He was a member of New Life Church of God in Richmond Hill. He started his career as a journeyman electrician with Local 508 out of Savannah but continued his entrepreneurship skills with owning and operating convenient stores, Texaco Express Lube in Savannah, and then co-owning and operating The Smokin’ Pig Restaurant in Richmond Hill and Midway with his son, Kevin. The avid outdoorsman enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf. His passion for coaching started with Wayne County Recreational Little League Baseball and Women’s Softball teams, and later, he led the St. Paul’s Country Day Softball Girls Team to State Championship Playoffs. Watching sports teams such as his beloved Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Atlanta Braves was a favorite pastime. His family was the center of his heart in everything he did because of his fierce love for them. His infant son, Clyde, Jr. preceded him in death along with his parents, St. Clair and Ruby Fabre; a brother, Frank Fabre; mother-in-law, Mezzo Ring Davis and fathers-in-law, Ralph Ring and George Davis; a brother, Frank Fabre; brothers-in-law, Lamar Harper, Jesse Ogden and Carlton Ring; a sister-in-law, Willene Sparks.

Survivors are his loving wife of 59 years, Charlotte Ring Fabre of Midway; a daughter, Kaycee Fabre and son, Kevin (Theresa) Fabre, both of Richmond Hill; 3 grandchildren, Kinsey Fritz, Karlee (Christopher) Gardner and Porter Fabre; a great granddaughter, Callie Ruf; a brother, Ricky (Sue) Fabre of Ravenel, S.C.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Wanda (Carl) Shadduck, Pat Ogden, Chris Ring, Kenny Sparks and Roy (Myrtle) Thornton; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday, August 3, 2026 at Rinehart Chapel with Reverends Ryan Ogden and Gladwin Harper officiating. Interment will follow in the Odum Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be his grandsons and nephews.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Rinehart Chapel.
