Christopher Allen Thornton passed away suddenly of an apparent heart attack in Wytheville, Va. while on a job assignment on November 19, 2022. The Wayne County native was born on December 10, 1969.  He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Harold Thornton and an infant daughter Ainsleigh Lurae Thornton, grandparent's George and Nola Mae (Carter) Thornton.

Survivors include his 3 children Kaitlyn, Johnathan Thornton of Jesup and Emma Thornton of Ozark AL, his mother Lois A. Judson Barber of Geneva NY, Sisters: Donna T. Dyer (Ricky Brant) of Bloomingdale, GA, Sherry (Willie) Rowe of Hubert, NC, Dawn Andre of Geneva, NY, Brothers: Joey (Tammy) Thornton, Tony Thornton of Jesup. Several nieces and nephews.

Celebration of life gathering will be announced at a later date.
