Chet O'Quinn, 59, of Screven, Ga. passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025 under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.  The Appling County native and former resident had lived in Wayne County the past 26 years and was of the Christian faith.   He was a former cable technician and enjoyed his "hobby farming" but his greatest passion was his involvement in drug addiction recovery. Chet also enjoyed fishing, motorcycling, riding horses and rearing Rylee, his granddaughter. His parents, Farnell and Evona O'Quinn preceded him in death.

Survivors are his wife of 27 years, Blair Beecher O'Quinn of Screven; a daughter, Chelsea O'Quinn of Screven; a son, Hagan (Autumn) O'Quinn of Baxley; a granddaughter, Rylee O'Quinn and a grandson on the way, Colton James O'Quinn; a sister, Dale O'Quinn Dumigan of St. Simons Island; two brothers, Ferrell (Jane) O'Quinn and Keith (Debbie) O'Quinn, both of Jesup; nieces and nephews, Shaun (Holly) O'Quinn, Kelly (Natasha) O'Quinn, Kyle (Kelly) Allen, Cary Allen, Tannis Allen, Kayla (Josh) Brown and David (Carmen Edwards) O'Quinn; several great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Chet's life will be 5 PM Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Rinehart Chapel with Rev. Mickey Tomberlin officiating.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to services at the funeral home.
