Charles Turner, 47, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 unexpectedly.  The Louisiana native had lived in Wayne County most of his life and was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church.  He was an employee with The Press Sentinel and enjoyed woodcarving and raising chickens.  Charles had a servant's heart and helped many elderly people in his neighborhood.

Survivors are his wife of 16 years, Cheryl Churchill Turner of Jesup; his parents, Gerald and Nancy Turner of Jesup; 6 sisters and a brother; numerous nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life services will be held 4 to 6 PM, Saturday,  November 30, 2024, at the Red Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Alan Morgan officiating. Private burial was held at Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
