Dr. Charles R. Mullis, 82, of Jesup, Ga. died Sunday, April 20, 2025. The Wayne County native was a member of Crossroads Church of God and earned his Doctorate in Theology in his early years. He was retired from Gilman Paper Company and from Rayonier. After many years in active Christian Ministry, which included chaplain with Wayne Memorial Hospital and his prison ministry, he retired from full time pastoral work. He was best known for his quiet witness in leading so many to our Lord. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Eunive Brinkley Mullis, a son, Jamie Mullis, a stepson, Stanley "Pee-Wee" O'Quinn, and a sister, Shirley Anderson.

Survivors are his wife of 16 years, Christine Weaver Mullis of Jesup; a daughter, Shelia (Sam) Tiqui of St. Mary's; a son, Charles "Ralph" (Stacey) Mullis, Jr. of White Oak; step children, Rodney (Velvet) O'Quinn of Jesup, Patsy (Tim) Hopkins of Jesup; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, sisters, Linda (Dennis) Frazier and Elise Williams both of Jesup; many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from Crossroads Church of God with Pastor Brandon Stone and Rev. Hulet Smith officiating. Interment will follow in O'Quinn Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be family. Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Adult Sunday School Class of Crossroads Church of God.

Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to services at the church.
