Jesup, Ga.

Rev. Charles Monroe "Charlie" Manning, 76, of Jesup, died Saturday, September 10, 2016, after an extended illness. The Wayne County native was Pastor of Liberty Lighthouse Church and had served 35 years as Pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church and enjoyed all aspects of Ministry. He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran having served in Vietnam, worked as a Wayne County Bus Driver many years, and enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was predeceased by his former wife, Earlene Kipp Manning; parents, Corbitt and Ethel Harper Manning.

Survivors are his wife, Joyce Thornton Manning of Jesup; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly (Ken) Cowart of Jesup; sons and daughter-in-law, Kipp (Susan) Manning and Stephen Manning of Jesup; brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Wayne (Diane) Manning of Jesup; 14 grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2016, at Little Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Monroe Gill and Rev. Mark Thornton officiating. Interment will be in Little Creek Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Wayne Moseley, Joe Moseley, Timothy McBee, Shorty Dixon, Woody Manuel, and Gary Manning.

Visitation will begin at 1:30 prior to service at the church.
