Carolyn Channell Lynn, 87, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025. The Wayne County native was a Baptist and attended Baptist Tabernacle Church. She was most known for her Winn Dixie employment making the best donuts in town. She also worked with Manhattan Shirt Factory for many years. Some hobbies she enjoyed were gardening, canning, and spoiling her family with delicacies such as her sour cream pound cakes, sweet potato souffles and holiday dressing and gravy. Her husband, Lonnie "Alton" Lynn, Sr. preceded her in death along with her daughter, Christy Michelle Lynn; brothers, Roy and Charles Channell and sister, Alice Clark.
Survivors are two daughters, Patricia "Susie" (Greg) Capra of Panama City Beach, Fla. and Cindy (Larry) Strickland of Jesup; two sons, Robert (Cynthia) Lynn, Sr. and Lonnie (Sally) Lynn, both of Jesup; two sisters, Pearline Thornton of Jesup and Vivian Jackson of Gray; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday, July 21, 2025 at Rinehart Chapel with Rev. Calvin Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her family.
Visitation will be 4 to 6 PM Sunday, July 20, 2025 at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home.
