Carolyn Denison Barton, 74, of Screven, Ga. passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025.  The Wayne County native was of the Baptist faith and a retired Walmart employee.  She loved to go fishing, cut the grass, go crabbing, feed the chickens, garden and love on the grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Her husband, Johnny Barton preceded her in death along with her son, Jason Roberson, her parents, Pat and Gladys Denison and brother, Jimmy Denison.

Survivors are a son, Ray (Beth) Roberson of Screven; companion, William David Harris of Screven; 5 grandchildren, Dustin Roberson, Summer (Jay) Conley, Dillan, Destiny and Becky Roberson; 5 great grandchildren, Brayden, Ansley, Blakelee, McKinley and Sebastian; 3 sisters, Betty (George) Cunningham, Reba (Dan) Harden and Marilyn Wise; a brother, David (Faye) Denison; several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be held 11 AM Saturday, September 27, 2025 at O'Quinn Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Drury and Rev. Kathy Palmer officiating. Interment will be private.
