Carol Dixon, 83, of Patterson, Ga. died Tuesday, June 11, 2024.  The Appling County native was a member of Lake Chapel Primitive Baptist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran.  He retired as an instrument and electric technician with Gilman Paper Company. Carol loved to grow vegetables and fruit. Another passion was making sugar cane and fishing.

Survivors are his wife, Sherry Lee Dixon of Patterson; two sons, David (Katrina) Dixon of Midway and Doug (Bridgette) Dixon of Woodbine; several grandchildren, Steven (Molly) Dixon, Joshua Dixon, Joseph (Jerica) Tapp, Skyler (Ashley) Hadden, Austin (Emma) Dixon, Micheal (Bree) Luke and Brett Roberts; a sister, Carolyn Roberson of St. Mary's; several great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, June 14, 2024 with Bro. Durwood Miller officiating. Private burial will follow in the Lake Chapel Cemetery immediately following the funeral.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
