Carl Edward Yarbrough, Jr., 85, of Jesup, Ga. died Thursday, December 29, 2022. The Nashville, Ga. native had lived in Wayne County the past 47 years and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was a 20- year U.S. Air Force Veteran and retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation and was an avid golfer. He was predeceased by a son, Michael Yarbrough; daughter, Connie Salgado; and granddaughter, Mary Salgado.

Survivors are his wife of 67 years, Mary Yarbrough of Jesup; a daughter, Cyndi Yarbrough of Jesup and Mark (Tanya) Yarbrough of Odum, Ga.; brothers, Jerry (Donna) Yarbrough of Dahlonega, Ga; Jim (Gina) Yarbrough of St. Petersburg, Fl.; grandchildren, Jason (Tori), Cary, Carlie, Morgan and Hannah; 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Elder Thomas Waters and Rev. Larry Tillman officiating. Interment will follow in the Jesup City Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be family and friends.

Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
