Brett William Lehman, 64, of Danville, Ill. died Tuesday, August 12, 2025 in Jesup.  He was born on the 4th of July, 1961 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Thomas R. Lehman and Diane K. (Maloy) Lehman.  Left to cherish his memory are two brothers, Mark Lehman of Brandon, Fla. and Chris (Missy) Lehman of Danville, Ill., two sisters, Kathryn (Robert) Frost of St. Cloud, Fla. and Jennifer Watson of Ruskin, Fla.; a step-father, Tom Winfield of Alt. Springs, Fla. and he was "Uncle Brett" to several nieces and nephews.  His parents preceded him in death.

Brett grew up and attended school in Danville and he loved to fish from an early age, often at Harrison Park near his home and even went on to work as a commercial fisherman in Florida. He later became interested in horticulture and residential painting, doing many small landscaping and painting projects.  In his most recent years, he discovered he had quite a knack for buying, selling and trading most anything.

Brett was diagnosed with cancer in 2023 but resolved to enjoy life for as long as he was able and even in the hard days, Brett would find time to laugh with others, help someone with a project or spend a quiet day of fishing. Most would say Brett was a man with a kind heart.
