Brent Erik Steel, 60, of Jesup, Ga. and Jonesville, Mi., went to his heavenly home on Thursday, June 4, 2026. The Michigan native had moved south in the past 5 years and was a former pastor of Carteret Road Church of Christ in Brunswick. His leisure enjoyment was writing sermons, anything to do with music and being a “Papa” to his grandchildren.

Survivors are his wife of 26 years, Ronna Edwards Steel of Jesup; 4 daughters, Sarah Steel, Ananda (Michael) Rechtine, Jennifer Redfern, all of Mi., Kelsea (Todd) Wadsworth, Jr. of Jesup; a son, Benjamin Villamor of Mi.; a sister, Debra Steel of Mi.; 18 grandchildren, Tristan, Jaxon, Kai, Brayden, Annalee, Jacob, Grant, Hugh, Cecilia, Macie, Carter, Colton, Caleb, Caden, Cooper, Madeline, Laura and Roman.

A celebration of his life will be held by his family.
