Bobby L. Herrin, 87, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026 under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. The Wayne County native was a member of Blanton Church of God and the Senior Adult Sunday School Class where he was very active in many ministry roles. The retired ITT Rayonier employee and barber enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, cane grindings, fishing and hunting. His wife of 54 years, Linda Faye Broxson Herrin preceded him in death along with a granddaughter, Ashley Gunter and several siblings, Billy, Vernon, Lamar, Jimmy, Fleming Herrin, Etheleen Gilder and Josephine Tyre.

Survivors are a daughter, Lisa (Keith) Gunter of Odum; son, Steve Herrin of Jesup; grandchildren, Bethany Gunter and Sydney (Cole) Priester; siblings, Ernie Herrin of Augusta, Benny (Erika) Herrin of Blairsville, Charles “Hodie” (Sharon) Herrin and Ray (Sharon) Herrin, both of Odum, Herbert (Joyce) Herrin of Valdosta, Faye Griffis of Odum and Dale (Roger) Anderson of Jesup; a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Blanton Grove Church of God with Reverends Josh May, Bobby Pope and Mark Griffis officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be his nephews.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Monday, July 13, 2026 at Rinehart Chapel.
