Billy Daniel Metts of Bristol, Ga. died May 8, 2022 under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. The Homerville, Georgia native was a life long resident of Bristol, Ga. and a U.S. Army Veteran. His favorite past times were gardening, fishing, and "fixing something". He enjoyed several jobs to include farming, meat cutting, trucking and cabinet making. He was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Ruby Metts; nephew, Timmy Metts.

Survivors are 2 daughters, Sherri (Larry) Johnson of Jesup, Tammy Jones of St. Simons Island, Ga.; a brother, Talmadge (Wannie Mae) Metts of Bristol; sister, Joann (Richard) Woodard of Brunswick, Ga.; 4 grandchildren, Robert (Brittany) Johnson, Craig (Shonna) Johnson, Whitney East, Paris Hutcheson; nephews, Dwight (Lynne) Thornton, Ken Thornton, and Johnny (Diane) Metts.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 12, 2022 in Antioch Congregational Christian Church Cemetery in Bristol, Ga. with Rev. Jim Crandall officiating.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery.
