Bill McDonald, 89, of Jesup, Ga. and former resident of Brunswick, Ga., passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022.  The Brunswick native had lived in Wayne County the past 14 years and was a U.S. Army Veteran.  Bill was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Brunswick and started his career at several banks, working up to Sr. Vice President. He also worked in the budgeting and accounting departments of other businesses. Sports were a favorite pastime while he rooted for the Georgia Bulldogs Football and Atlanta Braves Baseball Team.  The community of Glynn County was fortunate to have him as Treasurer of the American Red Cross, United Campaign Volunteer, Southeast Georgia Health Systems board member and Exchange Club past president. His sister, Mada Hines preceded him in death along with his brother, Clarence and 4 stepsons, Ronnie, Brett, Bartt and Bryan.

Survivors are his wife of 45 years, Sherry Wooten McDonald of Jesup; 3 sons, Bill (Martha) McDonald, Mark (Robin) McDonald and Warren McDonald; 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; a step-brother, Benny Ray Wooten.

Private memorial services and interment will be handled by the family in the Palmetto Cemetery in Brunswick.
