Obituary

Jesup, Ga. William Acie "Bill" Edenfield, Jr., 62 of Jesup, Ga. died Monday, July 29, 2013 at his residence. The Wayne County native was a member of Altamaha Baptist Church and served 6 years with the National Guard. He received a Bachelor's degree from Georgia Southern University, retired after 35 years with Rayonier Accounting Dept. and had worked for the past few years with Boykin Steel Erectors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, taking care of his sheep and goats and being a "Poppy horse" for his granddaughter. He was predeceased by his parents, Acie and Marie Edenfield; sisters, Catherine Livesay, Janette Morris; brother-in-law, Floyd Moody; son-in-law, Sean Hopkins. Survivors are his wife of 37 years, Claudia Galbreath Edenfield of Jesup, Ga.; a daughter, Holly E. Hopkins of Aurora, Colorado; a son, Dustin Edenfield of Jesup, Ga.; a granddaughter, Lacy Hopkins; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn "Jane" and Duke Snyder, Sandra and Charles Pye, Charlotte Moody, Judy and Larry Watson, Dana and Middie Hickox, Billy Livesay, all of Jesup, Ga., Linton Morris of Odum, Ga.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Friday, August 2, 2013 at Altamaha Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Lee officiating. Interment will be in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Kary Edenfield, Charles Snyder, Van Lamb, Craig Galbreath, Gary Galbreath and Justin Galbreath. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the funeral home.
