Betty Jean Rowland Thompson, 82, passed away from natural causes at home on October 26, 2025 surrounded by loving family. She was previously employed by the Wayne County District Attorney's Office and was the Chief Deputy Clerk for the Glynn County Clerk of Courts. At the time of her retirement, she was the Office Manager for Christian Ministries Foundation in Brunswick. She was of the Baptist faith and was predeceased by her parents, Charlie and Beatrice Rowland, a sister, Ruthie Williams, and a brother, Ronald Rowland

She is survived by her loving son, Phillip C. Thompson, of Jesup, a nephew, Bruce Williams, of Jesup, and a grandnephew, Dakoda Strickland, of Jesup.

Private services will be held at a later date.
