Obituary

Betty Jean Moody Moore, 82, of Brunswick, Ga. passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026 in Satilla Hospice in Waycross. The Glynn County native was a former resident of Jesup but lived a majority of her life in Brunswick. She was a member of Everett Baptist Church. She started her career as a phlebotomist in the Brunswick Hospital and retired from the Doctor’s Lab (presently, Lab Corp). Betty Jean enjoyed crocheting and working with ceramics. Her husband, Donald H. Moore, preceded her in death along with siblings, Jerri Eustace, Elizabeth Drury, James Harvey Moody, and Tommy Larry Moody.

Survivors are her daughter, Linda Bare of Waynesville and a son, A.M. (Tammie) Drury, Jr. of Brunswick; 4 grandchildren, Erin (Scott) Wages, Chris Drury, Donnie Drury, and Chance Bare; sister, Janie J. Wilson of Lenexa, Kansas; great grandchildren, Marshall, Logan, Connor, Liam, Giovanni and Mackenzie; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be 11 AM Monday, June 15, 2026 in Odum City Cemetery with Rev. Charles Drury officiating.

Family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to services at the cemetery.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
