Bertha Conseen Braddock, 84, of Odum, Ga. died Sunday, September 7, 2025. The Cherokee, NC native had lived in Wayne County the past 63 years and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She spent most of her working life as a CNA with several nursing homes. She loved fishing, Elvis music, and watching old Westerns. She was predeceased by her husband, Jerry Braddock, Sr.

Survivors are two daughters, Donna B. Hernandez of Odum and Joy (Hoss) Wells of Springfield, Ga.; two sons, Richard Braddock of Odum and Jerry Braddock, Jr. of Odum; sisters, Maxine Burgess, Fran McCoy, Agnes Bradley, Mildred McCoy, Mary McCoy, and Faye McCoy, all of Cherokee, NC; two brothers, Larry Paul McCoy and Albert McCoy of Cherokee, NC; 7 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 11, 2025 from Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil Bunce officiating.  Interment will follow in Odum City Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her family,

Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
