Bennie Willard Clark, born on June 19, 1941, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Bennie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, whose warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. Bennie's professional life was marked by dedication and hard work, culminating in his retirement from Rayonier Incorporation. Beyond his career, he was an active and valued member of the Jesup Church of God, where his faith and commitment to community service were evident.
A man of hard work and selflessness, Bennie dedicated his life to supporting and uplifting those around him. His memory will forever be cherished by all who knew him, and his spirit will live on through the many lives he touched.
He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Jessie and Marie Clark, who instilled in him the values of hard work and compassion. As well as his cherished brother, Edwin (Chuck) Clark.
In remembrance, we honor his contributions and the legacy he leaves behind, which will continue to inspire those who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
His 64-year marriage to his beloved wife, Susan, was a testament to his enduring love and commitment. Together, they built a family that became the center of Bennie's world. He was the proud father of Tony (Sharon) Clark of St. Simons Island, BW (Renee) Clark of Watkinsville, Sonja Clark Woods of Jesup, and Selena Clark of Screven. Bennie's legacy of love and generosity continues through his 12 grandchildren: Elyssa (Grayson) Yeomans, Clark (Ashley) Wingate, Jett Wingate, Emileigh (Eric) Keel, Wesley (Daniella) Woods, Benjamin Woods, Taylor (Jake) Powell, Lindsay (Eli) Garrett, Jake (Lilia) Clark, Bradley Clark, Garrett Clark, and Max Melvin. Along with his 14 great-grandchildren that held a special place in his heart. Each grandchild brought immense joy and pride to Bennie's life, embodying his spirit of kindness, resilience, and love.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday, October 28, 2024 at Jesup Church of God with Pastor Scott Hatten and BW Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
