Ben "Odis" Waldron, Sr., 83, of Jesup, Ga. died Sunday, March 12, 2023. The Pierce County native had lived in Wayne County most of his adult life.  He was a member of Northside Bible Baptist Church and a sewing machine mechanic for 51 years. He also worked with his wife at Waldron's Grocery Store. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and spending time with his family, especially as "Papa O". His parents, Jimmy and Lois Waldron preceded him in death along with his siblings, Marvin, Melvin, Bill, Donnie and Rosa.

Survivors are his wife, Dorothy Ann "Dot" Pittman Waldron of Jesup, Ga.; two sons, Benny (Tina) Waldron and Keith (Alicia) Waldron; an adopted-in-love son, Jeff Richardson; sisters, Mamie Dryden, Linda (Randall) Hickox, Marilyn Jordan, Geraldine Mixon and Ocie (Joe) Worthington; brothers, Charles (Ruby), Clifford (Mary Lou), and George (Tonja) Waldron; 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Benny Waldron and Pastor Anthony Hipps officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brett Waldron, Justus Kidd, Phillip Kidd, Joe Chandler, Will Morris and Chance Horne. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Bayview Nursing Home.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the chapel.
