Barry Wayne Priester, Sr., 68, of Jesup, Ga. died Sunday, June 4, 2023. The Wayne County native was a member of the Little Creek Baptist Church and was in construction as well as heating and air for several companies. He was known for fixing anything broken and he enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Bennie and "Pert" Priester; brothers, Bobby, Donald and Butch Priester; sisters, Linda Knight and Jeanette Sikes.

Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Debbie Overstreet Priester of Jesup; two sons, Wayne Priester and Derek (Amanda) Priester both of Jesup; two sisters, Shirley (J. Wylly) Davis and Judy Ostrum both of Jesup; 3 grandchildren, Chase, Faith and Jasper Priester; several nieces and nephews.

The family is planning a private service.
