Barbara Jean Magee, 89, passed away, Thursday, November 23, 2023.  The Wayne County native was a Baptist and was co-owner and secretary of Karate Plumbing. She enjoyed crocheting blankets for many people, going to movies, and visiting St. Simons Island.

She was predeceased by a son, Leonard Calvin Ussery and a daughter, Cheryl Jean Smith.

Survivors are her husband of 45 years, Elmer "Karate" Lawrence Magee, III of Jesup; sons, Charles Felton Ussery of Waycross, James Chester (Grace) Ussery of Jesup; daughters, Charlotte Ann (Tom) Jones of Jesup, and Cherrie Lee (Eric) Thompson of Brunswick; daughter- in- law, Rene' Ussery of Jesup; and son- in- law, Joe Smith of Valdosta; 16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November, 26, 2023 at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Pruitt officiating. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her family.

Family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
