Aubrey Thornton, 68, of Jesup, Ga. died Sunday, October 22, 2023. The Wayne County native and U.S. Army Veteran was an upholsterer. He loved to fish, watch Westerns and wrestling. Every night, he grilled for his family. His parents, Clinton and Doris Thornton preceded him in death along with two brothers, James and Robert Thornton.

Survivors are his wife of 47 years, Dinna Morris Thornton of Jesup; a daughter, Molly Thornton (Patrick) Manning of Odum; a granddaughter, MaKayla Manning of Odum; a sister, Latrell Aspinwall of Jesup; a brother, John Clinton "J.C." Thornton of Jesup, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday October 25, 2023 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Mark Thornton officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Brad Thornton, Gary Thornton, Kyle Keener, Greg Leggett, Tyler Jackson, and Daryll Kornegay.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
