Arnold Fred Hunt, 81, of Odum, Ga. died Sunday, January 28, 2024. The North Carolina native and former Tampa, Fl. resident had lived in Wayne County for the past 20 years and was a member of Blanton Grove Church of God. He was a retired heavy equipment mechanic and enjoyed traveling with his family.

Survivors are his wife of 60 years, Texie Cogdill Hunt of Odum; two daughters, Angela Fogarty of Land O'Lakes, Fl., Julie (Juan) Castillo of Odum; son, Matthew (Tamra) Hunt of Odum; sisters, Mary Cogdill of Winter Haven, Fl. and Wanda Workman of Union, South Carolina; grandchildren, Patrick, Megan, Christopher, Jonathan, Sophia, Liliana, Giovani, Alexa, Crystal, and Casey, great grandchildren, Haven Joy, Patrick, Riley, Josephine, Savannah, Jubilee, Selah, Asher, Amani, Josiah, Leilani, and Elena.

Memorial services are being planned by his family.
