Jesup, Ga. Alvin Watson, 69 of Jesup, Ga. died Thursday, October 17, 2013 at his residence after an extended illness. The Wayne County, Ga. native was a retired Rayonier employee and enjoyed working with animals and gardening. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Ann Watson; a son, Mark Watson; his parents, O.C. and Lillian Watson; a brother, Calvin Watson. Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Chris and Gene Altman of Jesup, Ga.; two grandchildren, Brad and Brittany Hires; two great grandsons, Aaden Thornton and Tripp Graham; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Sykes, Jo and Garland Knott; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be 11 A.M. Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Sheldon Rowell officiating. The family will receive friends at the service.
