Albert "Gator" Ryals, 78, of Darien, Ga. died Sunday, April 2, 2023.  The McIntosh County native was a member of Townsend Church of God and a retired heavy equipment operator for the county. He loved to fish and hunt in his spare time. His first wife, Diane Ruth Ryals preceded him in death along with two brothers, Ernest and David Ryals; two step-sons, James Alvin and Thomas Alvin Andrews.

Survivors are a wife, Lillie Ryals of Darien; sister, Jane (Joe) Pointek of Shellman Bluff; brothers, Johnny Ryals of Hinesville, Paul (Cindy) Ryals and Matthew Ryals, both of Jones Community and Mark (Carmen) Ryals of Tx.; step-daughter, Tanya Lynn (Brian) Harper of Brunswick; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday, April 6, 2023 in Davis Cemetery in Darien with Pastor Bruce Miller and Rev. Danny Stillwell officiating. Active pallbearers will be Doyle, Brian, Daniel, Robbie and Corey Ryals. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Pointek, Brother Terry Huggins and Ronnie Young.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 PM Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home.
