Jesup, Ga.

Jessie Reno Parson, 83 of Jesup, Ga. died Monday, August 8, 2011 after an extended illness. The Canton, North Carolina native lived in Wayne County, Ga. for 57 years, was a member of Jesup Presbyterian Church, and a homemaker. She was an avid bridge player, reader, and enjoyed her exercise group.

Survivors are her husband of 65 years, Bob Parson of Jesup, Ga.; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Eddy and Donna Parson, Phil and Peggy Parson, all of Jesup, Ga., Doug Parson of Newnan, Ga.; 5 grandchildren, Allison and Jimmy Lynes, Erica and Chip Craven, Doug,Jr. and Leigh Anne Parson, Christina and Kelly Hyers, Cynthia Parson; 4 great grandchildren, Jules and Jeb Craven, Kendall and Harrison Lynes; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Bill Platt officiating. Interment will be in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ed Exley, Doug Parson, Jr., Kelly Hyers, Chip Craven, D.O. Brown, and Freeman Bacon. Honorary pallbearers will be the Sunday School Class Members of Jesup Presbyterian Church and the staff of Hospice of South Georgia.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 A.M. Thursday, August 11, 2011 prior to services at the funeral home.
