Jesup, Ga.

Nadine Landon Crosby, 86, of Jesup, died Thursday, December 8, 2016, in Wayne Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. The Wayne County native was a member of Jesup First Baptist Church, former Sunday School Teacher, Girl Scout Leader, Cub Scout Den Mother and member of Ruby Riggins Camellia's Garden Club. She enjoyed camping, traveling, and being with her family. She was the widow of Groover C. Crosby and predeceased by her parents, Fred F. and Florence Lee Landon; sisters, Marian L. Lewis and Nona Faye Yates; brother, Donnell Landon.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Crosby Pumpelly of Jesup; son, G. Clint Crosby, Jr. of Jesup; grandchildren, Robert Pumpelly of Oakland, California, Caitlin (Chris) Jarriel of Allenhurst, Chris C. Crosby of Jesup, Craig B. Crosby of North Charleston, South Carolina; sisters, Juanita L. Bennett of Jesup and Evonne L. Poppell of Odum; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Jesup First Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Von Moss officiating. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her nephews, Don and Derek Landon, Carl Yates, Robby Poppell, Len Lewis, and Ricky Bennett. Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph Ward, Tommy Batten, Tony Batten, and members of Ruby Riggins Garden Club.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 prior to service at the church.
